Dear Patients,
It is with mixed feelings that I want to personally share with you that I have decided to move on to the next chapter of my life as of December 22, 2016. On that date, I will be leaving the wonderful State of Connecticut and my professional affiliation with the practice for other opportunities in Florida. Although I am excited about my new endeavors, I find it difficult to leave behind my practice of 35 years and so many patients many of whom I have grown to cherish and who have become such good friends.
As I transition into this new phase, I want you to feel confident that I will be leaving you in trusted and capable hands. As you must know, I didn’t take this transition lightly and spent over two years looking for just the right person to inherit my legacy.
After a lengthy search, I am very happy to announce that I was able to find Dr. Amir Nasir, a very well-trained Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who will continue to practice out of the office. Dr. Nasir shares many of my values and has the same commitment to surgical excellence. He also has an artist’s aesthetic, an analytical mind, and a solid commitment to always putting his patients first.
Dr. Nasir and I began formally working together this summer but I have known him for years. I have enjoyed working with Dr. Nasir and have shared with him many of my signature techniques, which he has adopted and in some cases even refined. I am excited to see how his improvements will translate into achieving great results for all of you in the future!
Dr. Nasir is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and completed his advanced fellowship training in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery at Boston University. He is an expert in all aspects of cosmetic surgery and non-surgical rejuvenation procedures. He is committed to building relationships with each of you whether you are seeking non-surgical rejuvenation or cosmetic surgery. Like me, he believes in the critical importance of honest and clear communication most importantly listening to his patients.
Dr. Nasir brings a unique background and perspective to the practice. He has a Bachelor of Science in Optical Engineering from the University of Rochester, a Master’s in Public Health from Tulane University, and an MD from the University of Kansas. Before choosing medicine as a second career, he worked on the correction for the Hubble Space Telescope, for which he received both the Outstanding Achievement and Pride in Excellence Awards. He also served in the US Peace Corps for two years in a remote village in West Africa.
Your medical records will be maintained by Dr. Nasir and upon written release of information, the practice will be happy to forward your medical records to another provider if you choose. If you have emergency medical needs prior to my exit, please contact me directly so we may discuss the transition.
I know Dr. Nasir shares my vision for what a boutique plastic surgery practice should be and will use his talent and expertise to maintain that vision. If you are interested in learning more about Dr. Nasir or would like to schedule a consultation with him, we encourage you to contact the office.
It has been an honor to serve you over the years and I appreciate your ongoing support of the practice.
Dr. Nasir and the practice look forward to hearing from you soon!
Warmest Regards,
Dr. James Lyons
